PARENT PARTICIPATION
We believe communication between
staff and parents is an essential part
of our program’s success. Parents
are encouraged to contribute their
time, effort and skills to the school
either by joining the Parent Board,
helping out as a room parent,
participating in evening programs
and fund raisers, or by sharing their
special talents. Information between
home and school is provided through
weekly update sheets, monthly
newsletters, fall and spring
conferences, and various family and
parent events.
PARENT BOARD
The Parent Board is a group of volunteers who work cooperatively with the
Director to provide the best preschool experience for our children. It is the
Board's responsibility to establish the general philosophy and programs of
the school, as well as to establish the budget and oversee all financial
operations. In addition, the Board works with the Director to develop
school policies and procedures. Other Board activities include fundraising
and community and parent outreach.
The Parent Board meets once a month to discuss ongoing and new
business. All parents are welcome to drop in at any monthly meeting, but
we'd love to have you join us as a member for the entire school year. It is
a great opportunity to influence your child's experience while meeting other
parents.
